New Look, Same Mission.
New Look, Same Mission. The Student Foundation Board of Trustees is proud to announce our new and improved website and logo! To celebrate our 5th anniversary as a foundation on campus we have decided to create an image that better represents our goals as an organization. Before moving forward one must take a look at their past, in our case we are looking back and giving back. Through the years, we have grown tremendously and have raised over $500,000 towards benefiting Florida State University. It all began in 2009, with the Protect Our Professors project. Our goal was to raise awareness about the budget cuts affecting our staff and faculty. In a matter of months, we exceeded our expectations and since then have taken on other projects, such as the Million Dollar and Click Yes campaign.
It is of our utmost importance to unify our campus and work together to further the advancement of the students’ personal and professional experience. Upon entering Florida State, a student is first welcomed by their orientation leaders, faculty, and different groups on campus; from leaders to mentors. These are the type of relationships that the Student Board of Trustees fosters. We stand for diversity, strength, unity, philanthropy, and service. Our new logo and website embodies just that.
The torch in our logo symbolizes the fire within us, as students it is our duty to never let this fire die down. It also encompasses current and futures initiatives on campus such as the universities Raise the Torch campaign. Along with our new logo, the website offers an interactive experience and unique insight into our ongoing projects and upcoming events. Our upcoming events include a keynote presentation as well as a philanthropy/service banquet, Totika! Now you can carry the Student Board of Trustees in your pocket, keep up with our social media, calendar, and members in one click! Learn about how you can give back to your university and community.
