The Student Foundation was founded on April 20th, 2010 to support the enrichment of Florida State University and its students. The first of its kind in the state of Florida, the student Foundation is entirely student run and operated. Inherent in our mission is to raise and manage funds, then allocate them to areas of campus that enhance student development and the collegiate experience.
Governed by our own Board of Trustees, all policies and decisions are made by students. Composing the Board of Trustees are qualified and experienced student leaders that also sit on one of our five standing committees/departments — Development, Finance, External Affairs, Advancement Relations, Administrative Affairs
The Student Foundation encourages all Seminoles to give back to their university while they are still students. This will instill a spirit of philanthropy on campus in the present and increase the likelihood that students give back when they become alumni. In order for Florida State to be competitive with top research institutions across the country, we must all learn the importance of giving back to the present.
